Waiting

I'm sure you are all waiting anxiously to hear about what happened at my court hearing on Tuesday. Well, NOTHING, he is supposed to pay everything (around $7,000) before November 28, when he does not, then something will happen, jail perhaps, up to 90 days! Who knows?!

Other than that, I have nothing going on. Today is Cori's last day at work, and we are all very sad. She will be missed by everyone, she always knows who to call and what to do, in EVERY situation!!! We got two new girls in the department, and another is supposed to be coming next week, I am kind of afraid I may lose my docs, time will tell!

Well, I am going to get back to 'work' now. Have a great weekend if I don't talk to you tomorrow.

Car trouble

Well, Wednesday was just the beginning of my car trouble. On Thursday, my engine light came on and my radio stopped working on the way to work in the morning. On the way home, my oil light, and my gas light came on, my power steering went out and my car died halfway in the road and half way into the gas station. I was in that position for about five minutes until 3 very nice guys came to push my car safely into the gas station. So, my sister came to sit with me, Gary came to look at my car, and Matthew called AAA to get my car towed. Gary and I tried to go to Auto Zone to get the part to fix my car (a tensioner), but they don't have it since my car is too new. So, we waited in the Sunoco parking lot until the tow truck came. They came and took my car to Gary's house.

I was unable to get the part until today, when Gary called the dealership and fixed for me this morning, he's such a good guy! It is all fixed, and it was only a mere $30!!

Saturday, we threw my Grandma a surprise party. It was a surprise, we love you party. I am glad it is over, I put a lot of work into it. I did photo boards, picture frames of all the children, grand children, great grand children, and poems. It turned out very well. She was very surprised, we made her cry (which was my goal!)

My cousin, JoAnna, the one that lives with her, was supposed to be the lookout, she thought my grandma was home. So, we were all quiet with the lights off, meanwhile, my Aunt Zeny came, so I went to the other room and yelled at her to hurry up, she pulled into my parents house and was fiddling around with the food in her trunk. So, they ran over, and to everyone's surprise, the door never opened. So, JoAnna went out with the dog to investigate. Turns out there is more than one Impala on Grafton Rd. So, finally, Gram arrived. We were all super quiet, JoAnna was in the kitchen. Grandma came in and wondered why the blinds were shut, JoAnna told her that the sun was in her eyes, and she had a headache, Gram was VERY confused. She walked into the kitchen, we all yelled SURPRISE, and she was even MORE confused, so I explained to her the purpose of the party, and she started tearing up.

It was very nice, my cousin Ryan came down, who hadn't been home in a few years, so that was really nice. We had a photographer come and take family pictures and we are going to make a photo album for my grandma so she can have all the pictures.

Sunday, I slept for 16 1/2 hours, it was SO nice. I slept from 12:30am to 5:00pm, I am well rested.

Tomorrow I get to take Shawn to court....again, but he is supposedly in Florida, maybe he will not show up, then we can all visit him in JAIL!!!!!!

Well, that is all for now, I will go back to twiddling my thumbs for another 2 and 1/2 hours until I am done with work!!

Car Trouble

So, I went to take my sister to FINALLY get her license last night, and on my way to Monroe, my car made a really strange loud grinding metal noise. Five minutes later, the battery light came on. So, I took my car to the nice tire guys next door to the pharmacy, they could not tell what was wrong with it. This morning on my way into work, I was about 7 minutes away from the hospital when my radio turned off suddenly. When I pulled into the parking lot, my check engine light came on. I really hope my car starts tonight when I leave work and I make it to the grocery store, back home, and to the garage before it decides to die.

Pray for me and my car, and that it doesn't cost a ton of money. I cannot catch a break when it comes to money, I finally start saving money for the first time since the divorce, so I decided to get glasses and now my car is broken!!! If that isn't enough to throw me into a panic attack, I don't know what'll do it!!

DO NOT GO TO DR. HASAN

As most of you know, my sister has been unable to drive for the last six months, meaning I have had to cart her butt around! So, her six months is finally up, we went to the doctor to get the paper filled out for the State of Michigan on Monday afternoon.

We get to the doctor's office, wait like good little girls, then my sister finally gets called back (after 45 minutes!), she comes out 10 minutes later, really pissed off. So, I ask her what is wrong, she says "NOTHING, LET'S GO!!!", so I ask where her paper is, she said "THEY WOULDN'T SIGN IT", so we go into the hallway, I ask her what really happened, she starts crying, they won't sign it, blah, blah, blah.

So, I go into the office, I'm always looking for a fight!!! I start talking to the lady in the window, who starts getting rude saying that they have worked out a plan and that Dr. Hasan is going to bring the filled paperwork to Monroe on Tuesday, well, here is where my problem began, WE HAD NO WAY OF GETTING HER TO MONROE ON TUESDAY, Monday was our only day. So I started bitching about how we need it today, it has been six months, all the rest of the stuff too. She says she is sorry, it is against office policy to fill out papers right away. I told her I didn't care what her policy was, so she told me she'd work on them now (after 15 minutes of arguing), then I get called back by the office manager (WHO KNEW NOTHING), she said she couldn't do it right now, so I called her out and said she had four people working back there, one of them could do it, it was a 10 question survey, very simple. I told her to have it ready by 4:00.

At 3:30, we went back to the office, wouldn't you know, the form was filled out. That took all of 15 minutes!! We opened the envelop to see that the form was filled out WRONG!!! We went into the office to explain to them why it was wrong. Here's the problem, you'll get a laugh out of this:

Problem Number 1- The paper asked how old were you at your first episode- their answer- 20,
correct!! But, the problem comes with the next part, Date of LAST episode- 2001!, Hello, in 2001 she was 16, how exactly does that work???!!!!

Problem Number 2- There are 2 questions, one says has the patient had a seizure in the last six months, the second one asks if the patient has had a seizure in the last 12 months. Their answer: She HAS had one in the last six months, but NOT in the last 12 months. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN????

So, when we go back in, they won't change it, why you ask? because that is what their charts say. How in the hell can that be what is in the chart when the first time she was ever at a Neurologist was a month and a half after her March 2006 seizure. They know she has not had one in the last six months, that's the whole reason she came in for the appointment was that it HAS been six months.

So, we go to the secretary of state to see if by chance they will accept it, which of course they will not! Her primary doctor will not fill out the form since they referred her to Dr. Hasan, but they agreed that Dr. Hasan filled the paperwork out wrong. NO SHIT!!!

So, she called Hasan's office, they will not change the paperwork, so Roecker (her PCP) called them with all of the dates of all of the seizures, good news, Dr. Hasan's office DOES NOT CARE!!! So, today, she has to go there AGAIN to see if they will fill it out correctly, then she has to fax it to Lansing, and they have to approve it, which could take up to a week.

I faxed the form to Hasan's office first thing this morning with a letter asking them to fill it out since she has NOT had a seizure in the last six months, so we will see what we get in about an hour!!

I feel really bad for my sister, she has waited her time and they won't help her.

If anyone has any suggestions on who we should file a complaint to, please post! We are going to get something accomplished through all of this.

Moral of the story: IF YOU HAVE NEUROLOGIC PROBLEMS- DO NOT SEE DR. HASAN!!!!

Glasses

I got glasses for the first time since High School yesterday. I'm not sure about this, but my eyes have been stinging a lot lately so I am going to try to wear my glasses after work. Glasses are expensive when you don't have insurance!! I spent $400 last night, I got a pair of glasses and 4 boxes of contacts. I guess it doesn't sound expensive when you consider what I am getting, but I still think it is unreasonable!! Oh well, I guess I have to see, and it is only money. The glasses were $280! That's CRAZY! But, since I got glasses AND contacts, I did get a 15% discount, thank you Dr. Baltrip.

The Tigers won last night, I didn't get to watch the game, but I hear they didn't play too well! Hopefully they start playing up to their potential, they aren't going to be able to skate by forever. I think that is all, nothing exciting happened last night, I got to eat Taco Bell last night, that was good, I haven't had it in awhile. That's it!! Talk to you all later.

Eye doctor....AGAIN

Well, sorry it has been so long. I have started an organizing project at work. There is a file room full of papers that need to be filed, we have been working on it since Friday afternoon and it looks like there is no end in sight.

Today, I have to go BACK to the eye doctor. He has to look in my eyes to make sure my contacts fit. I can tell him they fit, they are great, I don't feel them. The commercial doesn't lie!!! I don't believe I have to waste my precious time tonight to drive 40 minutes just so he can see that my contacts fit properly. Then, I get to visit my mother so she can give me my laundry. I am spoiled- I know! But, I still don't like to go visit, especially at the pharmacy. If they are busy, they will put me to work, and we all know I don't want that!

As if you don't know, my Yankees lost in four games to the Tigers, now I am rooting for the Tigers, I hope that doesn't ruin their chances. But, they did play one hell of a game last night (not really, but it worked), hopefully they continue on their winning ways. I say they sweep the series!!!

Well, I must get back to alphabetising now! Have a great day!!!

Eye doctor

Why do doctors feel as though they can charge any amount they want to. My eye doctor, who is supposed to be the cheapest in Monroe, just charged me $89, I was in the office for a total of 10 minutes, he gave me new contacts (which are wonderful, my eyes don't feel like they have needles in them), but just a trial pair, and the real kicker is that I have to see him again next Wednesday so he can see how they look in my eye! What is that?! I don't have time to drive to Monroe, are they going to charge me another $89??? I hope not, I am poor!! He also yelled at me because I sleep with my contacts in my eyes, he says that's why they sting so much, doesn't everyone sleep with their contacts in their eyes? It is hard to know when you are going to fall asleep while watching TV. So, now, I have to get glasses, I don't want my hottie eye doctor to be mad at me?

So, the Yankees game got cancelled last night due to rain, they are playing right now, I hope they win!! Going to Detroit up 2-0 would be fantastic- sorry all of you Tiger fans!!

I think that is all that I have to talk about today, have a good day!! And a good weekend in case I don't get a chance to post tomorrow.

Drama at work

We have had lots of drama in the office since Monday. The bitch left, by choice, we don't care why or how we are just happy she is gone!! He hired another girl, and he wants her to replace me (since I am technically a temp), but we are losing another girl in 3 weeks, so it is my job to convince him in the next 3 weeks that I should stay where I am and the new girl should take over for Cori. Wish me luck on that!! Sometimes he isn't very reasonable. Now that we are short-handed we are all working harder, but now I am only bored for a few hours a day instead of 7! I got a new doctor, he started on Monday, and he is very nice, we get to learn together about how everything works around here.

The Yankees won last night!!! My sincerest apologies to all you Tiger fans out there, they had a good run (better before the All-Star break), but I think your hopes of a World Series are going down the drain in New York. I do wish they would get one win, they deserve that much! GO YANKS again tonight!! Did I mention, Derek went 5 for 5 last night, he is only 1 of 5 people to do that in all of MLB playoff history! Exciting, huh?!

In other sports news, MICHIGAN has a big game against MSU on Saturday! We love beating them almost as much as Ohio State. GO BLUE!!!

Today, I have an appointment with my HOT eye doctor, I am very excited, but I have been itching my eye for the past 45 minutes, so I am going to look real good going in there with a super red eye. I think I am going to try glasses this time, what do you guys think? If you see a frame that might look good, post it for me, so I can try to decide. I am tired of having itchy eyes and ripping contacts!

I think that's it, I might need a nap! (That's for you Jenelle) I will try to get one in before five, it's always fun to sleep at work.

Talk to you all soon, have a safe evening! GO YANKS!!!

Weekend

Well- This weekend was pretty uneventful! Friday night I went home from work and slept until it was time to go to the bar. All of my friends I have not seen in awhile were there, so that was nice. We got to dance the night away together for the first time in about two months! Also on Friday, Gary taught me a few new dance steps so that now we can go to a REAL dance club together. But, he did say I could teach him a few line dances, so I think it is a fair trade. On Saturday, I had to do inventory at the Pharmacy, and then I got a phone call at 5:30am, I had to try to find my way to a new place, half awake, to pick up Gary. I felt badly that his friend made him go to a bad after hours party, so I went to pick him up! I did not get lost, that's very good for me. Did I mention that the Wolverines won!!!!!!! I love that! It is so exciting, MSU lost, also good, but those DAMN Bucks won too, I hate it when they win. My Yankees didn't do too well this weekend, but they are already Division Champs, so I can't ask for much more!!

Sunday brought more inventory at work, FUN!!! and a nice relaxing evening, we went to church, watched Extreme Makeover- Home Edition and Desperate Housewives! I can't believe the baby is not Gabby's!!

Monday, we all came into work with to a WONDERFUL surprise. The bitch who we are trying to fire, who was supposed to be getting fired tomorrow had taken all of her personal stuff with her over the weekend!! So, we are hoping that she is gone permanently. None of us like her, she screams at her husband all of the time, and she brings everyone down. Not to mention, she told our boss that I sleep at my desk. I may be on the internet all day, but I have NEVER slept at my desk!

I hope everyone had a good weekend, and I will talk to you soon! Hopefully one day I will get some pictures up! Have a great day!
