Moving Day

Well, it has been 13 months at the same place, so it is time to move again. I think this is the longest I have been in one place since before college. I hate moving!!! I really hope I get to stay at the new place for awhile. We signed a 15 month lease, but I'm hoping it's more like 2 years before I have to move again. I really hate moving. It is exciting to get a new place, it's just no fun to pack all your stuff up just to unpack it two days later. There is a lot of organizing and cleaning involved, which is great, I just wish I didn't have to move it. And, I know there are companies that move for you, but I called one the other day who just sat in the truck while you loaded and unloaded (All they do is drive the truck) and they wanted to charge me $400!! I couldn't even imagine the price if they packed all the boxes, loaded and unloaded all your crap! That would be like a car payment, a rent payment, and the grocery bill for the year! Too expensive for my blood.

So, I only have to work for 4 and 1/2 hours today, I get off at 11:45 to start the move. We sign the papers at noon and I hope to be completely moved in and unpacked in time for me to get a nap and go to the bar (bar time is 10:00, so I have to be highly motivated). We don't get cable or internet until Tuesday, so I guess I'll be watching LOTS of movies this weekend. I don't know what I am going to do, I won't get to see the ball drop (although I plan on being in bed way before that happens anyway). Is Dick Clark still the guy that counts down the New Year or is it Ryan Seacrest? The real thing I am going to miss is the bowl games this weekend, I guess I will have to go home on New Year's Day (to the parents) so that I can watch the Michigan/USC game, I have a $5 bet with an 80 year old man that comes in the pharmacy! He took my $5 from the Michigan/OSU game, so I have to get my money back! I don't know what I'll do without my tradition of all day football on New Year's Eve Day, anyone have any suggestions? Besides going to a bar, I don't want to do that!

I hope that everyone has a safe New Year's Eve celebration, drive carefully, there are a lot of drunks out that day. It's a pity that I won't be one of them, but I'll be fully rested on New Year's Day unlike all of you partiers!

Well, I think I am going to go down to the cafeteria now, to get my last McDonald's breakfast, as I am back on my healthy eating kick beginning on Tuesday. Monday my grandma will have fudge left over from Christmas, so I can't start on January 1st, it'll have to be the 2nd. It isn't a New Year's resolution though, so it's allowed.

Be safe and have a great new year!!!

Holidays

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was good, great food, no fights with the family, and perfect gifts! My sister got me the coolest New York Yankee Santa hat and stocking! I might post a picture of them as soon as I figure out how (don't hold your breath)!

I spoke with Shawn this weekend, he is supposedly going to take care of the problem we had to go to court for, please pray that this is the case. I could really use a break.

For New Year's Eve, I have decided to stay at home and watch movies. Now, I'm not very current as far as movies go, so if anyone knows of a really good movie that came out in the last two to three years, please let me know so I can be sure to rent it for the evening. I decided that since I can't drink, I would be safe and stay home so the people that can drink won't cause me more problems then I need right now. Plus, I have to save money, so movies and junk food seem logical.

Dancing

So, my sister convinced me that I need to get out of the house and stop going to bed at 8:00 every night. So, last night, she took me to the Bier Stube to learn how to dance. It is "Dance your pants off Wednesday", I went, and it was actually fun! We learned the Push, Pull, Stomp and the Merangay. The only bad part was since I didn't have a partner, I had to switch my partner every song and there were two songs that I had to sit out because there were more girls that guys. I actually learned how to dance and I don't think I looked all that ridiculous!

If anyone wants to join us next Wednesday, let me know, they are free and there is no cover so I can actually afford it!

Tonight, we are going to the Lights Before Christmas at The Toledo Zoo, I am very excited about that, I have been going to the zoo for as long as I can remember and it is my favorite place in all the world to go, but I have never been to the lights! I just hope it doesn't rain too much. Then, I think I am going to the Woodchuck, it's a bar that has karoke on Thursday night, I won't be singing, but I'll probably go with my sister and her friend to watch them sing. My horoscope the other day said that I had to change my routine, so I'm trying!

Well, I think that is all, I am going to heat up my cinnabon for breakfast and get to work searching the web until my doctor comes in to tell me what to do!

Have a great Christmas!!!

Weekend

Well, I had a pretty busy weekend.

Friday I got off work early and beat everyone to the mall, so my Christmas shopping is done. I just have a few things left to wrap.

Friday night I finally got ahold of Gary for him to explain why he hasn't talked to me in two weeks. He had no excuse!! So, I am officially single again.

Saturday, I had to work at the pharmacy. We were really busy, we got the cookbooks out and ready to be sold and we sold our first two. I am very excited about the cookbooks, they look really nice (if I do say so myself), if anyone is interested in purchasing one please let me know, they make great Christmas gifts and they have 100 recipes of all different types.

Saturday night was the Village Pharmacy Christmas Party- it was a great time. The food was delicious. We were at the Palmer Room on Front Street, it was a little loud, but still fun. After the Palmer Room, we went upstairs to The Loft. That was not as fun. They were playing the "new" music, which I hate, but we still stayed for quite a while. It wasn't good music to dance to, but we had fun trying. I was up longer than I had been in about a month, so Sunday I slept in, well only until 11 because you can't sleep much longer than that at my parents house, they don't believe in sleeping in, so if they are up, you are up!

Sunday, I convinced my mom to make me eggs, and then a half hour later Grandma called us over for dinner. So, I stuffed myself on pork loin and potatoes, and my favorite- peanut butter blossoms. YUM! Gram makes the BEST cookies! My mom and I went shopping at Southland Mall, glad I didn't run into anyone I didn't want to see. I didn't even see one person I knew! I bought Cinnabons, the ONLY reason to go to Southland Mall. Of course they were running a special, so now I have 12 Cinnabons and 5 things of frosting, I think I'm in trouble. The lady said I could freeze them, but I'm sure we will have all of them gone before Christmas.

Now, I am back at work. Trying to get information from MUO, it's probably not going to happen, but I'm giving it my all.

Chris- It was nice getting to talk to you on Saturday, since you lost my email address I never get to talk to you. I miss that! You are one of my favorites at good ole PVP. Try to remember my email this time. Save it in your address book.

Have a good week everyone!

So Long

Okay, so it has been just about a month since my last post and boy have I been busy!! I guess I should start at the beginning. Thanksgiving was good, quality time spent with the family, and then off to Bootleggers to spend time with that family. There was hardly anyone there, which was expected, so it was a lot of fun! We had the whole dance floor to ourselves, and my sister sure enjoyed that!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went to see White Christmas at The Fox Theatre, THAT WAS A DISASTER!!! To sum it all up, my cousin's car broke down, I waited 25 minutes for a salad that consisted of only lettuce and a few cucumbers, the play was horrible, and we got stuck at a gas station on Rosa Parks Blvd for about an hour and a half waiting for the tow truck. Anymore details might throw me into a panic attack.

Monday and Tuesday of the next week I spent re-organizing closets and anything else I could get my hands on at the apartment. I didn't work since I was between jobs, and I was going crazy, so the only logical thing to do was clean and organize, my two favorite things.

Wednesday, I started a new job at The Toledo Hospital, I absolutely love it. It is so much nicer than MUO both to work for and visit. The atmosphere is more like home and everyone is so friendly. I have my own really large office that is so quiet, I sit here and listen to MSN radio and do work. I have minimal interruptions, it's wonderful. I do have to share my office eventually, but that shouldn't be until February and she'll be out on the floor for the majority of the day, so it'll still be good.

Today, I have no work to do and Dr. Georgiadis didn't have any surgeries so I decided to catch up on everyone's blog and update my own.

Kate, you do aerobics and you go swimming, what happened to the Kate I knew in High School? She is definitely gone! But, you seem happy so I'm happy for you!

Amanda, I hope your dad is better as well as your friend Kate. When I first seen that I was thinking Kate Riddle and I was thinking on how bad of a friend I was for not knowing. I still hope your other friend Kate gets better! I also hope that you get picked to win prizes at The Price is Right, I have always wanted to go!

Oh, I almost forgot to update you on my 'wonderful' ex-husband! He was supposed to show up for sentencing on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, obviously he did not. So, now I am responsible for the $6,000. That's what co-signing will get for you, more debt. So, if anyone knows of a way I can pick up a quick six grand (legally) I'm welcoming all ideas!!

Well, I think I am going to go walk around the hospital for awhile and see if I can purchase a hot chocolate and something to keep me warm, did I mention the only bad thing about my office is the temperature. I am sitting in here right now with a long sleeve shirt, a heavy turtle neck, and a blanket wrapped around my legs and I am still frozen. I called maintenance to come see what is going on in here, but they didn't think it was an emergency, who knows how long it will take them to get in here to fix my problem. Maybe Santa Claus can bring me some foot warmers or something!

Have a great Christmas if I don't post in the next few weeks!
